‘Try It’ is an app that benefits both parents and children. It is designed to assist with financial, social and health problems within the community. The main focus of our app is to get kids involved in after school activities, without parents worrying about the financial side of it.
This app helps save money by allowing kids to try various activities for free. Parents will know whether or not their child shows any interest in the activity by the end of the trial. ‘Try It’ also lets parents decide if the activity has good value for money, as it will detail the costs involved eg. if the child wants to play netball, the app will show what is involved as well as the costs such as registration fee and uniforms. This is where ‘Try It’ comes in as it will allow the child to try / experience the activity before committing to a full term of it and avoid the child dropping out half way, therefore costing money to the parent and disappointment to all.
The active tasks on this app encourage fitness in fun ways and motivate kids to be healthy. On the other hand, the music and art tasks on ‘Try It’ can help children to calm down and relax.
